Program Overview

Keiser University's Associate of Science degree in Fire Science is offered completely online. The program provides instruction in fire prevention methods, fire detection systems, fire codes and standards, NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) Standards for Fire Officer I and II, NFPA Standards for Fire Instructor I and II, plans examination for emergency services, and building construction. This program assists in qualifying firefighters for management positions with the fire service.

Admissions for the Online Fire Science program are through the Sarasota campus.
Applicants must be certified firefighters.

• Preparedness to conduct a proper fire scene investigation
• Necessary skills required for employment with the Fire Service including management positions
